Build a Neuron Challenge (watch on-demand & complete optional challenge in class)
This action-packed session introduces students to the wonderful world of neurons- the cells that make up their brains. It challenges them to build their own neuron rube goldberg machine, guiding them through the engineering design process as they imagine, plan, create, test and improve their machines. Then, the whole class connects up their neurons into a giant brain-like network! Complete this challenge with your class at a time to suit you throughout the week.
By Gastronaut, Supported by Catalent

Can you trust your memories? Maybe not!
In this interactive science show students learn how memories stored in the brain can play tricks on you, through a series of memory games and quizzes. We’ll also share top memory tips and explore psychology and neuroscience research that can help boost your learning and revision skills. Plus, after the show, there will be time to ask our brain expert any questions you might have about your incredible brain!
This will build on the Build a Neuron Challenge activity, as we look at how the structure of and connections between neurons change as you learn new things. But it will still work for anyone who hasn’t done the optional activity.
