We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly people to deliver science and creative activities in the Brunel shopping centre from Monday 25th May to Saturday 30th May, from 9.30am- 4.00pm on these days, with a lunch break.

£150/day

Please note that this role is for freelancers who are responsible for looking after their own tax and National Insurance contributions.

 The Swindon Imaginarium is a ‘pop-up’ space, run by the Festival of Tomorrow, where families can get involved with science and art activities in a welcoming and informal environment. This is part of the Festival of Tomorrow’s work to develop new ways for the local community to connect with research and innovation, and how these can shape our choices in a changing world.

We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly people to deliver science and creative activities in the Brunel shopping centre from Monday 25th May to Saturday 30th May, from 9.30am- 4.00pm on these days, with a lunch break. Please note that you are not expected to work all of these days, however you will be required to attend a paid training session taking place in the town centre on Saturday 23rd May.

The Festival of Tomorrow - Family activity facilitators

Those who are selected for this role may also be offered opportunities to work at the Festival of Tomorrow, which will take place during February half term in 2027, as well as over the Summer holidays in 2026.

Please note that you do not require a formal science background for this role, however an interest in science or technology may be helpful. We are looking for people who have experience of any of the following:

  • Drama, theatre and performance
  • Working with children, young people and families
  • Experience of engaging or working within communities in Swindon
  • Experience of delivering activities in inclusive ways
  • Experience of delivering creative activities
